Although most periodontal and implant procedures can be performed under local anaesthetic, some patients prefer to have their procedures done under sedation. At the Aurora Periodontal Centre, we offer nitrous oxide sedation (laughing gas), oral sedation (sleeping pills), IV sedation, and general anaesthesia if required.

Our entire staff participates in annual re-certification of standard first aid, CPR, and automated external defibrillator training.

Our top priority is that you are safe and comfortable during treatment. Please feel free to discuss sedation options at your consultation.

Please note that for conscious sedation and general anaesthesia, you must not eat or drink for eight hours prior to your appointment. A responsible adult must also accompany you to the office, drive you home, and stay with you until you have recovered.
